Is it just me...
Is it just me or is the illustration on this sign as clear as mud?

You Live in a Quiet Neighborhood When...
A home insulation truck hits a tree on its' way out of your neighborhood and all the neighbors emerge to see what the commotion is.

What makes this really funny is that the same company sent out a truck a month prior and they did the exact same thing. LOL! I would stop calling this company for service, wouldn't you?

FFSAnon or a Patch...something...Please
I have a new addiction...
Have you ever participated in Friends for Sale on Facebook? Well, if you haven't, it's like trying to catch the dragon. OMG! I am waiting to reach the level like on Guitar Hero where it stops and says, "You are Super Gay!" And then that's the end. All that work... and then nothing.
I might have to create a patch to wear during the day to help ween me from this addiction. It's apparent by the picture that I have a price. You can buy me for $611, 224. I'm cheap, what can I say ;-) And did you see that Jo Mahmah owns me? THAT, cracks me up! I'm owned by Jo Mahmah.

Ever have a Monday like this?
Actually I'm totally kidding, I didn't have all of those on a single Monday. Our cleaning folks apparently don't take cans to recycling so I started storing them up on my desk to recycle them later. It just looks really funny to have so many cans of this stuff on my desk. Folks ask me often if I work for RedBull...I don't but I should. My can count is up to 5 now, 2 large, 3 small. Have you seen the ginormous size? It scared me.

Only in Texas
Only in Texas do you feel like you have Monster trucks chasing you down the freeway. We were on our way this morning to a painting party and happened upon this crazy ginormous "Big Rd 1" truck.
We're thinking to ourselves, is this for real? And obviously it is as I snapped a photo of the big truck, but DANG! As my good friend Amy would say, "IS THAT REALLY NECESSARY?"
Did you see my reflection in the photo? Kinda cool and creepy all at the same time. So here the truck is encroaching upon us. It is alarmingly huge. I'm trying to be inconspicuous snapping these photos so that they don't just run us over. Finally at some point in those few seconds, it didn't matter to me anymore and I was snapping away.
Did you see that the side view mirror on Jess' Xterra is BELOW the body of the truck? So if that isn't proof enough that this truck is rather large, then take a few seconds and check out the rest of the pics that follow.
Here you see next to us is a lifted Ford F-150 and the "big rd 1" is still towering about the F-150. Next to the "Big Rd 1" you can see a Toyota 4Runner which looks like a midget SUV next to the "Big Rd 1".
Jess got up close to the truck one more time for me so I could take another photo. I wanted to see if I could get one good one. Here we are exiting 610 N and "Big Rd 1" is exiting 610 S.

New Camera
I had to ho myself out on the corner of Montrose and Harold to get this camera...
Of course if you knew the camera, or that corner for that matter, you might say that I'd get enough money by holding a cup for 10 minutes rather than ho'ing myself out, 'cause no one gonna pay for a girl like me ;). Which is actually true. I think it was all of $7. Yup, seven bucks. It actually scares me quite a bit. I thought I was going to have this special warm fuzzy feeling inside about purchasing this camera, but really, not so much. I think when I go to have the photos developed, they will say to me, crazy woman, get out of my store with your blank film.
Here's what the website says about this camera...now mind you...this thing feels like it's as sturdy as the Jell-o pudding containers that mom's send in kids lunches. And probably even cheaper.
"

One snap of the camera takes four pictures in the span of one second, preserving that moment in time and motion on one single print. Each plastic camera uses any standard 35mm film and has no flash. Item is repackaged for easy (less expensive) shipping, and comes with full instructions and quad cam tips.
The Quad Cam Photo Philosophy
Life is movement and action - so why take pictures that are boring and still? With the Quad-Cam you can capture one second of life in all its dynamic splendor. One snap of the camera takes four pictures in the span of one second, preserving that moment in time and motion on one single print. It's what happens during that one sedong that counts.
Taking pictures with the Quad-Cam is about trial and error, imagination and experimentation. Forget everything you've been taught about "good" photography, this is fun photography, this is art photography. The camera is no longer an objective observer, it's an active participand and a window into the world through your eyes. Take pictures of things in action, of people in motion. And if your subject isn't moving, try moving the camera while you take the picture. This will create effects and blurs that could produce a spectacular Quad-Cam picture. Shoot from the hip, and be spontaneous."
I'll let you know how the film turns out. I'd like to imagine it's going to do all the things it claims. However, the phrase, "taking pictures with the Quad-Cam is about trial and error" really does scare me.

Bored, I Guess
So I had 3 shots back to back in about 15 minutes... Of course blogging always sounds fun then, right? I figure I'll need to re-read this tomorrow and see if I reveal too many secrets. If anyone has the recipe for Spanish Fly...for the love of God...send it to me ;) Thank you!
Apparently I like fun with photoshop. Actually, GIMP is a lot of fun. But why the heck am I not smiling. Am I trying to be all tough with my chest all puffed out and stuff? How can I be all tough with a bandana on my head that has SMILING skulls and ...AND... it's PINK. That's all I'm sayin'.

Blasts from the past
I can't believe I'm going to reveal the skinny person's secret... but here you have it... here it is. The ultimate way to stay thin and eat everything you've ever wanted.Oh, btw, I'm totally kidding. Though many have asked me if I myself have a tapeworm, to which I reply "Of course", I wouldn't advice others actually going out and buying them.
This advertisement from the past completely cracks me up. Who thinks up this schtuff?
Given that the advertisement says "No Ill Effects" , "Easy To Swallow", and "No Danger", does that mean that people actually tried them out? For real? Ha! We do some crazy things in the 2000's but Tapeworms, seriously, thank goodness that is a blast from the past?
Okay, I'm off my tapeworm soapbox. Really was never on it, I'm just still blown away if this is a real advertisement.
Scoff if you will, but I think that normal people have a little lard in their diet. I mean, have you ever been walking around Whole Foods or Central Market and had the weird food crazed people about knock you over to get to what they are looking for? My theory on that is if their cart is completely full, then they are not shopping at a "normal" store for any food, therefore they are missing something in their diet ... the thing that makes them crazed. They continually search and search and search for that food that their body is craving, only to knock over the folks that are content cause they eat real food. Now, folks like me that occasionally shop at these places and pick up a few items, say Hawaiian Grog coffee or something of that sort, cannot be classified as one of these crazed individuals. What scares me the most are the parents that are pushing their completely full cart in these stores with a child in the kid chair. OMG! That means they are going to pass on the disease. The, "I can't satisfy myself with this food" disease. Folks like me will forever be in harms way at these crazed stores.
So I again took a step up on my soap box...ha ha ha... but if you are a crazed food store person, think about it for a little bit. Lard = happiness. In the right proportion, it will not kill you.
Okay, I might start smoking just cause I love this ad. I think this is AWESOME! Go ahead hand me a pack of fags.

Development Explained
So I had to write about this. Somehow I found this incredibly amusing and pretty much spot on. For all you developers out there I'm sure you too can appreciate this. I think the developer of this pie chart should create a new pie chart for myspace.
And I totally hate IE. I refuse to even test my code in IE. If someone hits my site, they are using IE, and it doesn't work right...not my problem.
I found this using stumble and the web address is: http://blog.alsacreations.com/images/camembert.png
