Fun in the sun...9mm style

IDPA in Conroe was insanely challenging since it was 1 week before the state championship match and they wanted really challenging stages in prep for the competition. It was a lot of fun. It said 108 on the iPhone app. Ouch!

My Very First IDPA Competition is Tomorrow

That is, if it doesn't rain tonight or tomorrow morning. It is Houston so that's a HUGE IF.

IDPA = International Defensive Pistol Association

I'm a little nervous as it's been a while since I've been at a gun range. I bought my first ever "shoot me first" vest. I usually make fun of people that are wearing these vests cause us in the gun world understand why people wear these vests, especially in Texas. But in IDPA it is a requirement for concealment so I decided to cave in a get me a "shoot me first" vest. In fact, I think this particular vest screams, "YOU BETTER SHOOT ME FIRST" as it is a very tactical vest and there's lots that can be hidden with it.

If any of you want to come see me and cheer me on or come make fun of me you are more than welcome to. I'll be at the PSC Shooting Range in Friendswood. Send me a text to my phone for the exact address.

Wish me luck!

Little Pink Ruger

Today I feel like Kalishnikitty!

I do have Kalishnikitty in a window sticker for Carmyne (my car) though I have not placed the sticker in the window yet. HK with an AK is AWESOME!

Some days I feel like her (minus the well endowment of course). I feel like the lady in red from the Matrix though I'm usually well armed.

Let me introduce you to the newest member of my family. Little pLinkY.

I added a Bushnell 3-9x32mm scope to pLinkY to make her look more "real". Now she is perfect! I bought her on Saturday just after the gun show at GRB. I had her on hold at Collector's. I was beside myself awaiting the chance to bring her home. Stripped her down for a good first cleaning, reassembled with scope. And now I'm ready to head to the range.

For those not familiar with rifles, pLinkY is a Ruger 10/22.

I decided on that rifle based off of recommendations by a really cool coworker of mine that I trust his opinion a lot. Thanks a million D for the suggestion. When I picked up this little ruger, I knew I would also need to get a rifle bag. I got a simple one from Academy that is 1/2 pink and 1/2 woodland camo. It's great. While searching for a picture of it to upload here to the blog, I found the following rifle bag. And now I have a new item on my wishlist...

How totally cute is this rifle case?
And the final item added to my wishlist today is this 'cute' pink rifle. LOL! So many pink guns, so little cash flow, oh I mean time!

Nyt Syts

I want to order one of these as I'd really love to be the first Home Boy in my hood to own one. I'm just wondering, can I get this with diamonds instead of the white dots, maybe 1 carat or more? I really would like to stand out from all my friends. Please let me know as soon as possible. My home boys and I are scheduled to hang this weekend. I'd love to be the cool one this time.

I have seen it all

Thanks to Brian for sharing with me something I never knew existed, and now that I've seen it, I can leave this life fulfilled :)

And you're probably asking is this thing for real...
I might have to get me one of these just for the novelty factor. I wanna give props where props are due. This was found in the blog:

So appropriate for my week

I have to say, this is probably one of the most appropriate pics I could have been sent this week. I work with a guy that I like to refer to as Excel A-hole. I'll have to elaborate at a different time as it gets me a little worked up when I reminisce of his ease at pissing in people's cornflakes.

This Monday and Tuesday my secretary was out of the office ill. Well, Excel A-hole had the nerve to call her husband and specifically ask if she was really sick because he needed her to schedule a luncheon for Wednesday. OMG! Can you believe the nerve? DUDE! Schedule it your self you lazy bastard. How hard can it be? Really?!?! Well, I sent her this picture because it is rather appropriate for this situation.
And my final note for this moment on Excel A-hole - RETIRE already.
